Best AI Astrology Apps in 2026

Twelve astrology apps people actually choose between, compared on the two questions the marketing blurs: is it genuinely AI, and what does it actually cost? Several of the most popular "AI astrology" recommendations aren't AI at all — by their own proud, explicit policy. All data is publicly verifiable and sources are cited.

The short answer

The genuinely AI-powered astrologers are Steer Astro (free and unlimited, inside ChatGPT, Vedic), KundliGPT (3 free questions/day on the web, Vedic + Western), AstroSage AI (per-minute wallet, Vedic, deepest free calculation tools), Om.AI (mobile-first Vedic, 1 free question to start), Nummi (Vedic AI chat with long-term memory, subscription), and VedAstro (open-source Vedic, $1/month hosted). Co-Star and The Pattern are hybrids: human-written daily content with an AI chat bolted on. And three of the most-recommended apps are deliberately not AI: CHANI and TimePassages publish only human-written interpretations by explicit policy, and Sanctuary and AstroTalk connect you to live human readers, billed by the minute.

The genuinely AI astrologers

Steer Astro

Steer Astro is a free AI astrologer inside the ChatGPT Apps directory. It computes your Vedic birth chart (Rasi/D1 and Navamsa/D9), current Vimshottari dasha, today's transits against your own chart, and the daily Panchang — with the Swiss Ephemeris on NASA JPL DE431 data, sidereal with Lahiri ayanamsa, checked against 1,124 days of the Government of India's Rashtriya Panchang (published benchmark). Unlimited questions, no wallet, no ads, no paid tier: the AI reasoning runs in your own ChatGPT account, and Steer supplies the calculations. You enter your birth details once and it remembers them.

KundliGPT

KundliGPT (kundligpt.com) is a web-based AI astrology chatbot covering both Vedic and Western charts, dasha, panchang, matching, and dosha checks, in 15 languages. Guests get 3 free questions a day with no signup; Pro is $7.99/month or $71.88/year for longer answers, family profiles, and permanent history. Several look-alike domains use the name; kundligpt.com is the original.

AstroSage AI

AstroSage's app (50M+ Android downloads, 4.6★) pairs the deepest free calculation toolkit in this list — full Kundli, matching, panchang, dasha tables, with ads — with "AstroSage AI" chat personas launched in 2024. The AI chat is billed per minute from a prepaid wallet (AstroGPT listed at ₹22/min in July 2026, first chat free), alongside human consultations and paid reports. Supports Lahiri, Raman, and KP ayanamsa options.

Om.AI

Om.AI (omai.app) is a mobile-first Vedic AI chatbot using the sidereal zodiac with Lahiri ayanamsa: birth chart (D1/D9), dasha, Ashtakavarga, yogas and doshas, transits, panchang, and Gun Milan. The free tier starts at 1 question, with more earned through daily streaks; Premium is priced in-app, and the developer has confirmed in a Play-review reply that its "unlimited" chat carries a usage cap. Its privacy policy notes that chat messages are processed by third-party AI providers.

Nummi

Nummi (nummi.ai) is a Vedic "spiritual AI companion" for iOS, Android, and web whose distinguishing feature is persistent memory — it remembers your chart, your questions, and your story across sessions. The app is free to download with Pro at $7.99/month or $49.99/year (3-day trial on select plans); free-tier question limits aren't published. It covers birth chart, transits, dashas, and tarot.

VedAstro

VedAstro (vedastro.org) is the open-source option: an MIT-licensed Vedic astrology engine with a website, a 200+ endpoint API, Python/.NET libraries, and an AI chat. The hosted site costs $1/month or $9/year including AI chat; self-hosting the code is free. It computes charts, dashas, 1000+ yogas, classical Kuta matching, and panchang. Best suited to developers and tinkerers who want auditable calculations.

The hybrids: human-written content, AI chat on the side

Co-Star

Co-Star's famous daily text is written by human astrologers and assembled algorithmically — the company describes it as astrologers collaborating with AI technology. Its actual AI chat, "Ask the stars" (the Void), includes 3 free questions, then credit packs from $2.99; Pro-Star is $8.99/month. Western tropical zodiac (Porphyry houses by default), NASA JPL data, iOS and Android, App Store 4.8★ with 205K+ ratings.

The Pattern

The Pattern presents Western astrology with the jargon deliberately hidden — plain-language "patterns" instead of signs and houses, computed with the Whole House system. Its core content is pre-written human text and audio; the AI conversation feature, "In-Depth," is free to try, with unlimited conversations on Go Deeper+ ($14.99/month or $83.99/year). The company says the AI runs on its own infrastructure, trained on its human-written interpretations.

Popular, excellent — and deliberately not AI

These apps show up in "best AI astrology" lists constantly, but calling them AI misstates what they proudly are. If human-written or human-delivered readings are what you want, these are the picks.

CHANI

CHANI, by astrologer Chani Nicholas, states plainly that all content is written and recorded by its astrologers — the company publicly describes itself as "a tech company that refuses AI." Western tropical astrology with whole sign houses. The free tier includes a chart overview, daily horoscopes, and moon readings; premium is $11.99/month or $107.99/year. No ads.

TimePassages

TimePassages, the long-running Western charting app from AstroGraph, says it in its own store listing: interpretations are "written by real, experienced astrologers. Not AI. Not algorithms." The free tier includes your birth chart, a personalized daily horoscope, and saved profiles; Pro ($7.99/month or $59.99/year) adds transits, progressions, compatibility, and solar returns. The strongest pick here for learning chart mechanics.

Sanctuary

Sanctuary connects you to live human astrologers, tarot readers, and psychics in an on-demand chat, 24/7 — the readings are by people, not models. Free horoscopes, an interactive birth chart, and compatibility come with the app; live readings run about $2.99/minute in blocks, with an intro offer of 5 minutes for $4.99. Western astrology.

AstroTalk

AstroTalk is the largest marketplace for live human Vedic astrologers — chat, call, or video, billed per minute (₹18–225+ in July 2026, first chat free), with a deep set of free tools including Kundli with D1/D9 and dasha. The company states that AI stays in the background (routing and chart generation), not in the consultations. Covered in more depth on our Vedic comparison page.

How to judge any of them: the accuracy test

An AI astrologer is only as good as its calculation layer. A language model on its own cannot compute planetary positions — it will generate plausible-looking but wrong charts. Before trusting any app in this list, run the five-minute test: compare your Moon sign, your ascendant, and your current dasha against a source you already trust, and mind the zodiac convention (Vedic sidereal vs Western tropical differ by roughly 24 degrees — explained here).
